3 reasons to attend TEDxNewtown this November
01 November 2019 | Community Events
New TED on the block TEDxNewtown is holding its first event on Saturday 23 November 2019 and you ought to be there.
Taking place at COMMUNE’s new venue in Newtown, you can expect a full day of inspiring talks, skills workshops and loads of fun activities.
This year’s theme? ‘BREAK IT’.
BREAK boundaries, BREAK the rules, BREAK free and BREAK through all the challenges that we humans experience throughout different stages in our lives.
TEDxNewtown’s Vivian Tran gives us three reasons why you should attend this kickass event:
1. Get inspired by pioneers in their fields.
Learn about how human ears can be 3D printed, music’s role in helping stroke rehabilitation, and how women are paving the way across change management, science and film.
2. Be challenged.
Join a guided workshop to explore what happiness, fear and human connection mean to you.
3. Enjoy free ECRE coffee and Messina ice cream!
Brought to you by the Ensemble of Coffee Research and Education (the finest roasters in Sydney) and Messina (with flavours ranging from blood orange and salted coconut to mango salt). It’s definitely not one to be missed.
