Ace Hotel is set to open its first hotel in Australia in May. The chic addition to the market is home to 264 guest rooms and a bunch of effortlessly-cool event spaces.
Event planners looking for their next hidden gem can choose from an all-day dining restaurant LOAM; a ground floor lobby lounge and laneway cafe offering coffee and light snacks which transform into a wine bar after dark; and a rooftop restaurant, Kiln (with chef Mitch Orr confirmed in the kitchen), complete with retractable roof and panoramic views from 18 floors up.
Flexible enough to suit all sorts of social situations — meetings, weddings, birthday parties, whatever — Ace’s events spaces include a pair of multifunctional medium-sized rooms (750 ft2 / 70 m2) good for gatherings of about 40 people, plus a great big space (1500 ft2 / 140 m2) that can manage meet-ups of approximately 120 guests.
Ace’s very first spot south of the equator lives in a rejuvenated, hundred-year-old Heritage Federation Warehouse building — home to the first brick kiln in Australia — nestled against the edge of the CBD in Surry Hills.
AV1 is delighted to announce it has been chosen as Ace Hotel’s preferred audio visual partner.
Elliott Miller, Ace Hotel’s Sales and Marketing Director commented “Ace Hotel Sydney is proud to have AV1 as our preferred AV partner, we love the fact that they are a locally run business, with a can-do attitude and have been so accommodating and supportive to date.”
Exciting times ahead. Watch this space.
