A Long-Term Partnership

AV1 is proud to be a long-term production partner of WSLD, producing many of the Dialogue’s flagship events, including the Airport City Summit, Boomtown! and the GWS Future Health Forum. These events provide a platform for the critical issues facing Greater Western Sydney including transport links, schools, hospitals, jobs, services and public spaces, and we’re proud to help deliver the spaces where these discussions come to life."

AV1’s Role

For A Decade of the Dialogue, AV1 was engaged as the audio visual and production partner. Recognising the significance of the tenth anniversary, our team ran a creative ideas session with WSLD to develop the event’s audio visual concept.

Together, we designed a staging and production plan to elevate the experience beyond a traditional conference, with lighting, vision, sound and content crafted to spotlight the Dialogue’s legacy and its next decade.

Experience Design and Technical Delivery

On the day, AV1 delivered a full-scale production solution, managing staging, projection, audio, lighting and content across multiple formats. The event opened with a moving Welcome to Country ceremony, with the Elder walking through the crowd onto the main stage, creating a powerful and authentic moment.

This was followed by a stirring performance from a 40-piece choir that provided a dramatic and uplifting soundtrack to mark the milestone. In the pre-function space, guests were greeted by a 2.5 x 2.5 x 3-metre high rectangular prism LED installation displaying a timeline and photo montage celebrating the Dialogue’s ten years.

Inside the main room, three 3 x 3-metre LED squares created a striking and memorable backdrop for speakers and performances. The central square was flanked by two pillars and accentuated by vertical lighting tubes, adding extra showmanship and depth to the stage design.

Throughout the event AV1 coordinated rehearsals, bump-in and bump-out, and integrated live recording, ensuring a seamless experience for speakers and guests. NSW Premier Chris Minns  gave the keynote address, and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese  dialled in to share his congratulations despite it being a Parliamentary Sitting Week in Canberra. 

Results

The event successfully celebrated a decade of the Dialogue and set a new benchmark for its future gatherings, attracting 350 senior leaders from government, business and the community. By handling every production detail, from creative concepting to flawless on-site execution, AV1 allowed WSLD to focus on content and stakeholder engagement, confident the technical delivery would reflect the calibre of the milestone.

The result was a polished, high-stakes event that left a lasting impression on attendees and reinforced the Dialogue’s reputation as the region’s leading advocate and convener of bold ideas.
