Luna Park is already one of Sydney’s most playful and iconic destinations. For this event, the brief was simple: lean into that spirit and invite guests to be a kid again.
As the third of five curated evening experiences for Premier Financial Alliance’s Sydney incentive program, this immersive experience at Luna Park kept the energy up for an exciting remainder of the week ahead.
Hosting 500 guests from the United States, group’s unique journey continued at this iconic venue. To deliver a seamless and premium experience, Laissez-Faire Catering, Simply Seated and AV1 worked as a unified delivery team, collaborating closely with program organisers The Travel Corner. Together, the partners looked beyond their core services, supporting the client with the many additional details required to bring each themed evening to life and ensure every guest experience felt intentional from the moment they entered.
Luna Park Sydney was reimagined through a playful “Being a Kid Again” concept paired with a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner. The client requested a full park buyout, activating rides, immersive experiences, and entertainers throughout the venue. Santa even made a special appearance, complete with branded cake pops and a photo moment inside the Big Top, adding a nostalgic touch to the evening.
Working in close collaboration with the Luna Park team, the production transformed the park into an evening playground - blending immersive experiences, live entertainment, and classic amusement rides with carefully designed technical production throughout the venue.

A park-wide experience
Rather than confining the event to a single room, the concept embraced the entire park.
To elevate the atmosphere across the park, a live DJ and full sound production were installed to keep the energy high as guests moved between rides, activations, and social spaces. The music created a shared soundtrack for the evening, giving the park a lively pulse.
As night fell, moving lights and custom gobos were introduced throughout the park, washing pathways, structures, and gathering points with colour and texture. The lighting design helped transition the park from daytime attraction to vibrant evening event space, building ambience as the night unfolded.
And of course, the rides were open - because no “Be a Kid Again” theme would be complete without a few spins, drops, and moments of pure fun.
The Big Top: A Thanksgiving celebration
At the heart of the evening was a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner inside Luna Park’s Big Top.
The venue’s built-in immersive projection system became a central storytelling tool. AV1 designed and delivered a custom five-minute video sequence that introduced the theme and shared the story of Thanksgiving with guests before dinner.
Using the venue’s installed technology, the visuals were projection-mapped across every surface - walls, floor, and ceiling - creating a fully immersive environment that surrounded guests as they dined. The experience transformed the Big Top into a warm, seasonal setting that felt worlds away from the rides just outside.
Spaces to socialise
For guests wanting a quieter moment between rides and festivities, the Hungry Horse area was transformed into a relaxed chill-out zone.
Subtle audio and lighting design created a softer environment where guests could gather, chat, and recharge before heading back out to explore the park.
Production in motion
Behind the scenes, AV1’s crew drove the production throughout the venue, managing the technical delivery across multiple spaces simultaneously - from park-wide lighting and sound to immersive projection and event flow.
Producing an event across a functioning amusement park requires coordination, flexibility, and attention to detail. Every element needed to integrate seamlessly with the park’s operations while maintaining a cohesive guest experience.
A harbour finale
To close the evening, guests were treated to a spectacular five-minute fireworks display over Sydney Harbour, delivered by Foti International Fireworks.
With Luna Park in the foreground and the harbour skyline beyond, the fireworks created a fitting finale - lighting up the night and sending guests home with one last moment of wonder.
A night of play
From immersive storytelling in the Big Top to rides, music, fireworks, and nostalgic surprises, the event delivered on its promise.
For one evening, guests stepped back into the joy, curiosity, and excitement of childhood.
And for a venue like Luna Park, that’s exactly where the magic lives.
The client perspective
“I’ve been producing events around the world for 38 years, and this event for 500 people has been one of the most supported and fascinating programs I’ve ever delivered.
The three partners quickly became what I consider to be the dream team.”
