Over the past 6–12 months, AV1 has continued investing heavily in technical training and professional development across all areas of the business, from LED systems and audio technology through to leadership, logistics, and safety training.

As technology continues to evolve rapidly across the events industry, ongoing training ensures our team remains confident, capable, and ready to deliver at the highest level.

Building capability across the team

Over the past six months, AV1 crew have undertaken LED training across all experience levels, helping to establish a strong baseline of knowledge while supporting more advanced operators in deepening their expertise.

The team has also completed individual 1:1 training across specialised vision and audio systems, allowing crew to build deeper technical capability in high-demand areas.

Alongside technical systems training, AV1 has invested in crew leadership development, supporting team members stepping into leadership roles on-site. The training focuses on communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and leading teams effectively in fast-paced event environments.

Additional warehouse training has also improved operational efficiency behind the scenes, helping ensure smoother preparation, logistics, packing, and deployment processes across productions.

Externally, team members have completed:

  • Rigging and dogging certifications
  • AX Systems and L-Acoustics specialist training
  • Truck driver training and licensing

AV1 has also continued supporting emerging industry talent through JMC “First Step” training programs, helping students gain practical exposure and pathways into the live events industry.
