Innovation, collaboration and commitment 

The AV1 team installed two flown LED screens, offset with depth, to create a presenter entrance and help deliver content in a non-traditional format. This production approach, complimented by on-stage elements of Australian flora, softened the technology and bridged the gap between the stage and the LED.

Meanwhile, a minimal yet effective lighting design helped create a focal point on stage, providing an environment where attendees could focus on the all-important content being discussed.

In the breakout session, AV1 used a borderless projection screen with edge-to-edge content and themed lighting projected on a Molo wall, sourced by Frank Wild, to carry the ‘Symbioscene’ theme (a period of re-integration between humans and the rest of nature) throughout the production.

To open day two of the conference, Unite. Play. Perform., led by accomplished artist, Missy Gilbert, led attendees from Blacksmith’s workshop to the plenary session with an immersive performance through the ground of the Carriageworks. AV1’s production team followed the performance while filming and streaming it live to the main screen.

Who attends Purpose Conference?

Purpose Conference has grown exponentially year on year, and in 2023, over 950 members of the purpose-driven business community participated. 

The conference attracts attendees from corporate, retail, education, IT, government, not-for-profits and charity organisations, as well as artists, journalists and entrepreneurs.

Close, ongoing collaboration ensures success

Collaborating closely with Frank Wild, the event management company overseeing all aspects of the Purpose Conference, and the Purpose Conference creative team, AV1 plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth integration of technical elements with the broader event logistics. 

Each year, the production process involves a series of collaborative pre-production meetings, during which we discuss the theme, the vision for the production, and the logistical event details. 

AV1 creates 3D renders of the production, building on Frank Wild’s creative concepts, while proposing unique and innovative ideas to bring the conference program to life through vision, lighting, audio and activations.
