LED has evolved well beyond the flat, rectangular screen. With new technology allowing for seamless curves, towering columns and bold geometric forms, LED is now a creative tool in its own right, ready to support storytelling, shape spaces, and bring events to life.

Here are a few ways LED can be applied creatively, depending on the event type:

Conferences

Create flow and focus with a curved backdrop that wraps around the stage, making room for animated graphics, branded visuals and live camera feeds. Add vertical columns to frame presenters or highlight agenda items. The result is a layered, professional look that holds attention, even during full-day programs.

Award Nights & Galas

Make a statement with LED that brings structure and scale. Framing the stage with tall LED towers adds visual weight and impact, while central screens can feature custom award stings, nominee packages and sponsor content with clarity and style. It sets the tone before a word is even spoken.

Product Launches

Use standalone LED structures like cubes or vertical totems to create focal points on stage or in the venue. These shapes draw attention and break away from traditional layouts, making the moment of reveal feel bold and deliberate. Surround them with motion graphics to reinforce brand messaging.

Hybrid Events

Design with both audiences in mind - those in the room and those on screen. Curved LED walls and clean vertical displays create visual depth that works beautifully on camera. Use side panels to incorporate live chat, remote presenters or real-time audience polls.

Exhibitions & Activations

LED can become a feature, not just a screen. Think sculptural elements, walk-through tunnels or stacked cubes that house content, interactive experiences or ambient visuals. It draws people in and turns your space into a conversation starter.

The key is bringing LED into the conversation early so it becomes part of the design thinking, not just the tech brief. AV1 works closely with planners, event designers and producers to create LED setups that support the story, the brand, and the experience.
